Deal & Company founder Breylan Deal-Eriksen’s love affair with real estate started at 12 when his hardworking, single mom got the keys to their first home, and his passion for homeownership has never wavered. A licensed broker, he relishes every opportunity to step in and save the day — like the time he saved his clients $40,000 on a repair. Breylan’s pure dedication, precise project management, and sage advice have resulted in top producer awards, a cover feature in Top Agent Magazine, and a role in HGTV’s “A Sale of Two Cities.” Empathy is at the core of Breylan’s service, and his clients’ long-term success is his goal. He fosters a safe, lighthearted atmosphere where people can open up about their dreams, and he’s helped more than 400 people achieve them.

Breylan is especially adept at the buy/sell, but no matter where his clients are on the real estate spectrum, he aims to educate and empower. In addition to his sales knowledge, he has wide-ranging industry expertise. As a top-producing loan officer during the Great Recession, he helped hundreds of people take control of their finances and keep their homes. As a title insurance representative, he became well-versed in escrow. Breylan also has extensive experience in HOAs and the maintenance of historical homes. He draws on this diverse background to ensure his clients understand the contracts they sign, and the implications of the decisions they make.

Having lived in four of Portland’s six quadrants, Breylan has an expansive perspective on the city’s neighborhoods and micro-markets. His comprehensive interview process encourages buyers to think beyond the neighborhood or number of desired bedrooms and envision the life they want. He also sets them up for optimal return on investment by emphasizing what matters most in every market. For sellers or buyers looking to renovate, Breylan employs his design talents and calls on a carefully curated vendor list to enhance their properties. His elevated listings look like magazine covers and spend an average of five days on the market.

Originally from the small town of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Breylan has been a Portlander since 2007 and lives by the adage, “Rose City ‘Til I Die.” He spends much of his free time lovingly restoring a 1929 English cottage he and his husband, Ben, own in Maywood Park. Breylan adores Corgis and British cars — he has two of each! — and enjoys gardening. He’s also been known to bring his neighborhood together by hiring a coffee cart (The Maywood Perk) or ice cream truck for the residents’ enjoyment.
